When easy encounters became close calls, The Artist new better than to wait for the next close call to be his final hour. He needed an ace in the hole, a fail safe option tokeep danger at arms length. What he got was A Fistful of Unidragon.

This Russian Imperial Stout slightly alters Blaecorn Unidragon with Mesquite-smoked malts, adding to the rich, complex flavors that our classic Russian Imperial Stout traditionally encompasses. Aged in Bourbon barrels, A Fistful of Unidragon blends in a touch of Bourbon sweetness to layer over the array of flavors on display in this full-bodied stout.

Black with a medium sized brown head. Sweet with toasty malt, strong bourbon, molasses and caramel. Long finish. Full bodied. Booziness overwhelmed some

Last beer of 2022; 12oz can (only 10.5%ABV). Black body, tanned top, boozy and malty with a chocolate leaning; rich, slick and very pleasant.

12 ounce can from Total Wine in Cherry Hill, NJ. 10.5% ABV. First Clown Shoes rating in some time. Jet black pour is topped by a rocky tan head. Robust roasted malt aroma hints at sweet chocolate and bourbon. Notes of smoke and charred wood. Flavor is smoky and leans toward bittersweet chocolate. Plenty of oak and bourbon on the palate. Really well done. As it warms, the flavors develop. Loved it!

Can from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours dark brn/blk with a large creamy tan head. Aroma of chocolate and bourbon/vanilla. Arguably full bodied. Flavor is chocolate, heat, bourbon/vanilla and burnt malt. A surprising amount of smoke. Quickly turns towards dry, and it is definitely bitter. Hop? Who can tell. Good brew.

Can at home. Roasted malts, coffee, bourbon, vanilla. Quite sweet and heavy. Not very subtle but I like it. Purchased at Consumer's Beverages

I think I would prefer it in a bomber but I will take a Clown Shoes brew in the 16 oz can. Fistful of Unidragon, imperial stout, bourbon barrels, 14% abv, all to the good by me. I picked up a couple of different CS imperial stouts last week at The Cellar in Odessa, TX and am trying the first one tonight. I have the Great Heights snifter available for this tasting and the pour is now. Inky black in color, a mahogany brown head and a smell of chocolate, berries and dark bread. A drink now, dark chocolate, molasses, booze, burned bread and a touch of toffee. Really a nice respite in trying times. Tomorrow is a better day.

Bottle shared by Brian, thanks! Pours near black with and earthy dark brown head that dissipates. Aroma has a combination of smoke and dark grains supported by roasted malts. Flavor has lots of smoke and roasted malts with bitter dark grains supporting.
