Old rating from 26-08-16 - A 500ml bottle brought back from Lewis by a friend last year. Best before Sep 16. It pours a clear brown toffee colour with a thin white head that doesn't last long. The aroma is toasty, bitter-sweet with flora, light vanilla, toffee, fruit loaf, dried fruits & brown sugar. The taste is bitter-sweet, brown bread, earth, toasty, dried fruits, grainy & earth. Medium body and moderate carbonation. The finish is dry and malty with hints of caramel in a mild bitter finish.

Bottle from the brewery most likely. Transported to Sweden. A mixed aroma but mostly sweet vibes. Lovely caramel colour. Creamy finish with good bitterness. A real taste of home. Probably a generous rating because of that.

Bottle from Harveys Brewery Shop. Pours a clear copper colour with a tiny off-white head. Very light gentle carbonation the beer looks almost flat. Very slight aromas are floral, caramel and apples. Weak on the nose. Taste is much more fuller with notes of caramel, toffee, citrus, apple, biscuits, grains, cereal. Earthy hop bitterness on the finish leaves a lingering aftertaste. Taste is fresh, floral with a little bit of zest and spice. Dry finish. Pretty good.

Bottle from the brewery shop in Lewes. Smooth mild beginning. Nice fresh and malty ale body. Round and intense, fresh and smooth. The malts are dry, intense roasted with a nice smooth ale bitter aftertaste.

Bottle from Harvey’s online. Appearance - amber with some head. Nose - strawberries, going into rhubarb jam. Biscuit backdrop. Taste - more fruit and biscuits. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly decent finish. Overall - interesting beer, probably needs just a bit more zip on the finish.
