Bottle bought at a Coop in St. Peter Port, Guernsey and enjoyed back in Jersey. Pours a light brown colour with a just off white head. Fresh aroma of malt, caramel and hops. Has a light sweetness and a very good level of hoppy bitterness. Body is fairly light, average carbonation, with a very good level of bitterness to finish.This beer edges it as being my favourite of the dozen Channel Island beers tried during my recent holiday there.

Bottle from Coop, St. Peter Port. The beer starts smooth and nice. More a bitter than an Pale Ale. The mainpart has lots of malt, nice bitterness and fresh Ale aroma. The aftertaste is smooth, ale-bitterness with a nice smooth and dry maltiness. Nice Beer!

500 ml bottle in the Harbour Lights, St. Peter’s Port, Guernsey. ABV is 3.7%. Called " a traditional pale ale". Mahogany colour (probably the darkest "pale ale" I’ve ever seen), moderate off-white to beige head. Moderately roasty aroma. Medium roasty flavour, quite dry, notes of burnt bread crumbs and coffee.
