Rustic Lager is not Lager reinvented, it’s Lager remembered. Brewed using a blend of our house yeast, with an amber colour from 100% British malt and a dry hop bitterness from Pacific Northwest hops, this 4.5% beer is unfiltered and unfined.

Rustic lager is taking lager back from thin, over processed, industrial monsters and unreliable reinventions, giving you a crisp, refreshing drink without filters or additives.

Trockener, moderat getreidiger Beginn. Laff, wenig aromatisch, von der Fasslagerung ist nichts erkennbar. Langweilig. 8/6/7/7/9/6

330ml bottle from Taps Beer Bar, Changkat, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a clear medium amber colour with a short-lived, fizzy, slightly off-white head. The aroma is cardboard yeast, light hops. The flavour is light to moderate bitter, with a light, watery, dry, earthy, metallic, light hop bitter palate. Light to medium bodied with average to soft carbonation. A lager “remembered” ? This is a lager I want to forget very quickly. It’s light, watery and totally lacking flavour. I’d rather drink Tiger Beer than this and Rustic Lager is five times the price. Beers like this do the craft cause no good at all!

Clear deep amber colour with a lasting thin white head. Some lager yeast and lager malt aroma, not very bready as i would have expected. Don't know what to make of this. almost a little sour is it?? No just a little nothing in terms of the malts, a bit bitter on the finish. Now there is better lager in the UK this is not quite up to the standard.

Bottle. Xmas gift from the missus. Waitrose, I think. I’d ask her but she’s down the road picking litter up. Opens mostly silently. Has some weird small white blobs floating on top. Not a great start. Pours a fairly dull, muddy gold. Island of dirty white with some of those (yeasty?) blobs. Nose has toasty, cracker bread malts. Some mouldy wood. Taste errs on the sweet side. Dull on the palate. Low carbonation. Sweet-ish finish. Hard work.

Bottle from Waitrose, Eastbourne. Reduced and supposedly going out of date. Reasonable and non descript aroma with a growing apple in it. Nice deep Amber colour. Taste was plain, inoffensive but with a somewhat sickly sweetish ending. Honestly, wouldn't pay more for it than a Carlsberg so in that sense, a fail.

29-09-20 // bottle. Slightly hazy amber golden. Not really a good head building. Caramel nutty, light farm nose. Body is watery up front but also a bit thicker to the end. A light syrupy caramel sweet touch. Red malts, bread and grains. Light rougher farmhouse malts.
