A liquid Bakewell tart that unfolds with flavour. Cherry jam and almond rise with hints of mocha. The sweet aroma gives way to tart flavour and a dry body. Roast cocoa layers over frangipane and a pastry like biscuit base. The sour finish leaves you desperate to fake it again.

(Bottle) Black colour with brief, foamy, beige head. Malty, roasty, fruity nose with notes of dark cherries, raspberries, dark chocolate, caramel, dark bread and oak wood. Malty, fruity, tart taste with sour cherries, raspberries, chocolate truffles, oak wood, balsamic vinegar, almonds, a touch of vanilla and a tart finish with some sweetness coming through. Low bitterness. Almost full body, with a slight sweetness. Rich, tart and tasty. Very nice.

Appearance is almost black, with a small foamy brown head. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, cherry, blackberry, tart fruit. Taste is cherry, chocolate hints, cakey malt, lots of tart fruit, hints of coffee, woody barrel, oak, tannins, some rye, sour finish. Interesting, quite good.

500ml bottle. What is this I don't even?! Tart chocolate cherry cake, sweetness, cherry jam, cocoa, almonds, nuts, whiskey, oak and biscuity notes, sour apples, wood and syrup. Quite untypical and complex, but the cherry and sour apple notes dominate way too much.

Creamy tan head stayed on a dark mahogany coloured still body. Raspberry aroma. Medium bodied, sharp on the palate with a clean back. Raspberry, cake & boozy tastes. Indifferent

Bottle sample at a tasting at Yoav's place. Black. Funk, lacto, roast, cherries, a bit of chocolate, some malt sweetness, caramel, sour-acidic, lemony.

Bottle from Dogtap. It pours opaque black with decent dark tan head. The aroma is bright and zingy, sweet and sour, juicy, oily cherry, vanilla, bakewell tart, rather jammy, marzipan, chocolate, spicy whiskey, tiffee and fudge. The taste is dry, bright, rather sour and puckering, sour candy upfront, fizzy cherry cola bottles, toasty, roasted malt, cocoa, jammy, red berry, cherry, black forest gateaux, granny smith apple, marzipan, oak and some spicy whiskey on the backdrop. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. I love the aroma this has. Perhaps a touch acidic, but worka rather well anyhow. Fun stuff.
