The sixth and last one for our 6th wedding anniversary. Bottle 0.66l from Lemke am Schloss. Cloudy, dark red to dark brown colored. AROMA- pleasant alcohol, BA character, chocolate, coffee, roasted malts, pralines. FLAVOR- smooth, moderately sweet, pleasantly bitter, warming, pralines, dark chocolate, cocoa powder, bitter almonds, marzipan, BA character. Fuller bodied. Perfect!

Aus der Flasche im 2017-08 getrunken. Ein schwarzer Traum von einen Imperial Stout. Ganz cremig am Gaumen. Die Aromen von Mokka, dunkler Schokolade und typischen Eichenfassaromen harmonieren wunderbar miteinander. Ein echt ganz großes Stout.

Bottled. Deep brown colour with a small beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, some slight vanilla, stinging alcohol, some sherry sweetness, ripe fruits and some more alcohol. Flavour is quite big on the alcohol, then ripe fruits, liquorice, some sherry and mild vanilla along with some sweet wooden notes. A bit messy (probably due to the many barrels involved), and somehow the alcohol sweetness really pushes through in this one. This one also seems to have more hop profiles coming through than the basic imperial stout. Confusing.
