Backlog. Reddish amber colour with a slightly off-white fluffy white head, which settles into a small and tight one. Aroma is dried fruits, some mild tartness with sweet malts and mild spiciness. Flavour is spiciness, mild tartness with some dried fruits and mild toffee tones to it.

On tap @ Patricks. Almost clear reddish amber body under a small off-white head. Aroma has malt, caramel and dry fruit. Taste is sweet, but not sticky, malt, smooth caramel, raisins and other dry fruits with balanced alcohol. Fine body with long lasting aftertaste. Nice and elegant British style barley wine with a malty focus.

On tap at Patricks. An unclear orange colored beer with a small dense off-white head. Toffee, caramel, dark dried fruit and some brown sugar in the aroma. It's full bodied and very lightly warming with a gentle carbonation. Sweet flavor with mostly malty flavors. Lasting finish. Quite delicious this one. Tasteful and moreish, and not too sweet. 241214

(Keg at Pien Brewpub, 20200828) The beer poured deep reddish brown and clear. Its head was medium sized, sparse and white. Aroma had earth, malts, molasses, caramel and alcohols. Palate was medium bodied and warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, caramel, molasses, grass, alcohols and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and bitter. A nice but bit too young barley wine.

Hazy amber - brown beer, small pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, slightly viscous, reasonable fine minerally carbonation. Soft creamy malt sweetness, a light salted caramel vibe and some creamy toffee as well. Ripe fruits, like you might find in an English bitter, but turned up to 11. Some mild fig and prune before the soft creamy finish. Some peel linger. Classic barleywine. Complexity through great brewing of simple ingredients.

Bottle from Systembolaget beställningssortiment. Amber with a small head. Sweet with caramel, malt and some dried fruit. The body was full and the finish with some warming alcohol.

Flaska från SB. Brun/kopparfärgad, något murken med smutsvit krona. Ganska straight-forward, ren och klassisk barleywine. Massor av torkad frukt, fikon-pudding, fruktkaka, bränt socker, torkade plommon. Maltsötma. Relativt låg beska. Mjuk kropp, något stram. Gott.
