Cask at Architect, Chester. Pours pale yellow with minimal white head and good lacing. Only a vague aroma – hints of malts and summer fruits. In the mouth it is sweet with floral hops to the fore. Some underlying caramel and traces of lime and autumn fruits. Finish is dry and a but sticky. Pleasant and refreshing – but somewhat forgettable.

Handpull cask at the Kings Head, Leicester. It is light to mid-golden with a very thin off-white head. Some soft citrus peel in the aroma. Taste is mostly sweet with light grassy hip notes. Long balanced finish with more citrus peel in the aftertaste. Not an especially exciting beer, but certainly a well-made one. Worth trying.

Pendle Beer Festival 2016. Blonde coloured ale. Has a hoppy-floralness with a light to medium bitterness. Has a malty-fruitiness in its nose.
