Copper colour with light haze. Aroma and flavour have plenty of caramelised tropical fruits. Also some caramelised malt adding body and depth.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 21B / 22A). Bottle 33 cl - Batch 16130118. AROMA: balance between hop notes (grapefruit-like) and roasted malt with notes of dark chocolate. APPEARANCE: very dark brown color and opaque with slight ruby highlights. Average ivory head and creamy, with good retention and lacing. TASTE: similiar to the aroma (mango, grapefruit, pine, resin) medium-low roasted malt (cocoa). meduim-high bitterness that lasts beyond an almost dry finish. slight peppery note from rye. PALATE: medium body with medium-low carbonation, with a velvety and slight powdery texture from the rye. very faint alcohol warmth. OVERALL: a very nice imperial rye IPA, with the balance tilting towards the malt. recommended.
