A dark, rich Porter made with Brown, Chocolate and Black malts with the inclusion of something quite special; Real liquorice root! A great tasting Porter beer.

Cask at Square Bottle, Chester. Pours a dark burgundy with a small cream head and good lacing. Aroma is creamy with roast malts and some hints of liquorice. In the mouth the liquorice is very much to the fore. It is smooth with a slightly watery texture and some traces of dark fruits. Later on it becomes sweeter with hints of danelion and burdock, leading to a dry finish. Not bad but a bit too much liquorice.
