A pale ale brewed with added oats for extra mouthfeel and smoothness. Plenty of hops have gone into this to make a refreshing hoppy pale.

Clear copper colour with thin head. It's a fairly plain bitter. Slightly too gassy. A decent beer. Oatmeal usually adds body and texture. It seems wasted in a light, gassy Bitter.

Keg at the West End Brewery, Leicester. Deep golden and hazy with a tiny ring of white head and some lacing. Aroma is very faint: some floral notes, a touch of resin and a bit of soft citrus. Sweet taste with some bitterness at the finish. Watery body buoyed up by heavy carbonation. Not a lot to this.

Cask @ Drink, Hebden Bridge. Darker golden with a creamy head. Thereโs a small floralness in its nose, with a more raw, grainy maltiness in its taste, in a very drinkable texture.
