We're very pleased to introduce a new beer called Twilight Oblivion, brewed in collaboration with our friends at Red Horn Coffee House & Brewing Co. in Cedar Park, Texas! Twilight Oblivion is a Farmhouse Baltic Porter refermented with Mourvèdre grapes from Wildseed Farms in Fredericksburg, Texas.
To make Twilight Oblivion, we brewed Baltic Porter wort at Red Horn, then drove the wort to Jester King for fermentation in one of our horizontal tanks with Red Horn's lager yeast. We then harvested Mourvèdre grapes from Wildseed Farms with our friends from Wedding Oak Winery for refermentation with our mixed culture of brewers yeast and native yeast and bacteria.

Tap at Beer Temple, Amsterdam. Dark ruby colour, not much head. Wood, tartness, a bit fruity aroma. Medium-bodied. Tart, berries, some sweetness, wood, warming alcohol. Balanced, not much of porter character left, wineous.

18/VIII/21 - on tap @ Beer Temple (Amsterdam), BB: n/a (2021-863) Thanks to the misses for going on a beer tour with me!
Clear red brownish beer, small creamy beige head, pretty stable, non adhesive. Aroma: malty, caramel, funky, dirty, some urinals… MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: wow, super sourish, little bitter, metallic, soft roast, very weird, what is this stuff? Aftertaste: very bitter, rotting red fruits, strawberries, very dirty, metallic, unpleasant, don’t like!

Almost black with quick fading head. Aroma and flavour have delicate notes of roasted malts but it's dominated by sharp red fruits. Rounded jammy sweetness balances it well. A thicker sweeter version of Duchesse de Bourgogne
