330 ml bottle Pours a dark brown with little head. Aromas of dark sugars, raisins, oak, and toasted malts. Flavors follow same with dry malts and subtle whiskey barrel. Just the right barrel aging for the base ale.

11.5% but not specified as Speyside on the bottle. Mahogany brown with quick fading head and no carbonation. Aroma and flavour are very sweet and malty. Elements of brown sugar, whisky and dried fruits. Rich and warming.

Bottle, 0.33l. Murky deep amber / brown pour, no head. Slight lacing on the glass. Lots of yeast floating around. Strong liquory nose, rum, whiskey, wood notes, caramel in the background. Full body, soft carbonation. Thick and oily texture, chewy mouthfeel. Boozy bittersweet taste. Strong dominating liquor presence in aroma, oak wood notes, caramel and toffee, syrup, molasses. Quite sticky. Herbal notes in the background. Very dry with lingering alcohol burn on the tongue. Warming. Quite strong and liquory, good complexity, solid balance. Good one.

Bottled 330ml. -from Pivoteka Zagreb as Old Parochial Special Edition (without Speyside stated). Dark amber/brownish coloured, no head at all, wood and alcohol in the nose. Quite alcoholic taste with notes of wood, burnt caramel and dried fruits with rather sweet finish.

Fluffy light tan head left a spotty cover on a reddish mahogany coloured still body. Whisky, oak, berry & malt aroma. Medium to full bodied, highly carbonated to the fore with a smooth feel over the tongue & tingly back. Sweet whisky, peat, slightly burnt, malt, sweet citrus, berry, demerara & raisin tastes with a sweet grape finish. This is a 2016 Speyside aged bottle & has aged very well - maybe I should have cellared it longer...

Keg at Craftsman as Old Parochial Spey side. It pours deep brown with a decent beige head. The aroma is sweet, rich malt character, brown bread, fruit cake, light spice, vanilla, whisky, cake frosting, sultana, raisin, date and glacé cherry. The taste is dry, bitter, oak, vanilla, decent hit of fruity whisky upfront, vanilla, sultana, raisin, light spice, Xmas cake, glacé cherry, orange peel, leather, toffee and tannin with a drying, oaky finish. Fulsome body, fine carbonation and sticky mouth - feel. A much more pronounced whisky character than the previous version of this I had. Quaffable, moreish.

On keg at the Hanging Bat. Appearance - deep brown, almost black. Thin crema head. Nose - sweet whisky and dark chocolate up front. Taste - marmalade and chocolate. Sort of boozy jaffa cake thing goin on. Some hazelnuts emerge from the booze in the closing phase. Palate - full bodied and creamy. Still sweet and boozy on the finish. Overall - good. Boozy but good.
