(Cask at Wenlock Arms, London, 1 Aug) Colour is dark, almost black with ruby notes, small head. Nose is fruity, slightly roasted with hints of bluberries and blackberries. Taste is fruity with wild berries, some chocolate and a nice citrussy hop character in the finish. Light body and rather dry throughout. Leaning a bit towards Coca-Cola. Easy to drink and rather tasty.

Dark color. Too much yeast in the nose. Lot of malt, and more of hops, with a long strong final. Good but too much homebrew-like, not at the same level as other Crouch Vale's.

[Cask at Cockney Pub] A dark brown almost black beer with a very small head. The aroma is slightly fruity and the flavor is very bitter right from the start with a good aftertaste, that prickles the tongue. It is a flat and a little thin.
