Cask at Picture House, Stafford. Pours a golden amber with a small off-white head and good lacing. Malts are the mainstay of the aroma, with hints of dried fruits and citrus. In the mouth it slightly sweet wit traditional hops, raisins and traces of lemon. Later on there are hints of butter, biscuits and spice. A little bitterness in the finish. This is decent – but more of a standard bitter than a golden ale.

Cask at the Crown Rivers, LHR T5, 23/01/23. Cleat golden amber withba good sized lasting light beige head. Nose is biscuit, grains, bready mellow fruit esters, straw. Taste comprises fruit slice, hint of toffee, soft malts, light herb, biscuit. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with a light bitter edge. Decent enough cask fayre ... would have gone bitter over gold blind tasting.

Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading. Golden-amber with a dense off-white head. Decently full mouthfeel for the low ABV. Biscuitty malt dominates, with floral notes and maybe a little pink grapefruit juice. Middling bitterness. A pretty average bitter this. Meh.
