Süffiger, fein säuerlicher Beginn. Holunderblüten, leichte Bitterkeit, spritzig. Die Säure bleibt subtil, die Karbonisierung etwas zu hoch. Langer, mild fruchtiger Abgang. 10/11/11/10/9/11

0.33 l bottle from 'Alehub', best before March 2022. Hazy, amber with a large, dense, stable, white head. Slightly sweetish, sourish, gently floral-herbal, moderately funky and slightly fruity aroma of lots of elderflower, lemon, some horse blanket and hints of wood. Gently sour, fairly floral-herbal, slightly fruity and a bit funky taste of massive elderflower, lemon, some wood and a touch of horse blanket, followed by a medium long, gently tart, fairly dry, slightly woody and a bit funky finish. Almost medium-bodied, slightly astringent and very effervescent mouthfeel, extremely lively carbonation. Way too much effervescence and I don't think that elderflower matches that well with the base beer, same as with Lindemans' Blossom Gueuze. Still very interesting but wouldn't want to drink that on a regular basis.

Bottle. Golden color. Elderflower and citrus in the aroma. Wheaty yet dry flavor with citrus and elderflower. Hint of yoghurt. A friendly sourness.

Bottle at home. A bit hazy deep golden with soft rusing bubbles and a big fizzy off white head. Grain husks, wheat, light earthy, grass. Really has this fresh herbal bread crust going on. Light spicy yeast, earthy funk. There's some elderflower but not too much. Medium sour, light sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with fizzy sparkly carbonation. Pretty good.
