Pouring deep brown with a thick head, this beer has a complex body with a delicious lingering roastiness. Abraxas is brewed with unique ingredients intended to challenge and excite the palate. It may be enjoyed right away or allowed to age in the bottle. Vertical tastings are encouraged. Perennial Artisan Ales is a small batch craft brewery dedicated to producing unique, premium beers. 2016 bottle shared. Pours a deep brown to black with a finger of beige foam that lingers. Cinnamon, cacao nib, vanilla, Yoo-hoo and chili on the nose. Just never ends really, some fudge brownie as it warms up. Mexican chocolate cake. Cacao and creamy oatmeal on the palate. Allspice finish with chocolate milk. Just coats the palate and lingers on. This is one lives up to the hype. Great stuff.
