cask at Guildford Arms about a month ago - Pours slightly hazy amber and smells of caramel malt with a little hops. The flavor is sweet caramel malt with mild bitterness. It’s medium bodied and overall is a decent ale.

Medium offwhite creamy head. Dark brown body. Fruity spicy aroma with faint vinegary caramel notes. Sweet-dryish roasty caramel and licorice taste with spicy wooden notes. Smooth, soft, mild velvety mouthfeel. Mid-bodied. Dry roasty fruity caramel taste with wooden spicy honey notes. Very mild, but incredibly drinkable. (0.25l cask, The Blue Blazer, Edinburgh.)

Half pint, hand pulled and well kept cask at Guildford Arms. Good looking with its deep golden brown body, and a thin head that laces moderately around the glass. Smell of sweet malts followed by a flavour of leafy hops and some hints of caramel malts. Rounded bitter endnotes. Edinburgh, 23.10.2008.

From cask at Food of the Walk. Pours clear and golden orange with fully dimished off-white head. Light breadish and towards roasted malt aroma. Light malty and sight roasted initial flavoured with a light bitterness coming through. Smooth and slight malty finish.

Cask gravity at Ealing Beer Festival 2008. Deep russet brown. After being bottled for a day and a half, not in great condition. Some nice toffee and malt. Bit toasty and then some balancing hop on finish. A pretty good premium bitter, plenty of flavour. Bit of plastic maybe, but that could be from the bottle. Decent full fruity malt. 3.2 re rate.. cask handpull at The County Hotel Ashford. Malty bitter. Not very bitter on the finish. A little pepper may on finish. Ok

Cask at Tennant’s Bar, Glasgow. A slightly hazy amber beer with a dense cream colored head - the head seems to come from a sparkler. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet malty though with hints of butter, leading to a dry bitter finish. The mouthfeel is very smooth.
