Boris is a hearty Imperial Stout that is aged in 10 year old Bourbon barrels. We’ve added a custom blend of cold brewed coffee to enhance the complexity. You’ll love the rich maltiness with hints of chocolate and dark fruit in this formidable brew

Barrel Aged Boris at the tasting at the Bruery. Pours with a black body and a sparse off-white head. Aroma of dark fruits, plums, raisins, figs, jerky and chocolate. Taste is yeasty with soy, chocolate and licorice. Silky smooth with light bubbles.

Bottled. Dark color, short dark head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, hint of vanilla, bourbon. Thick malty taste, soft vanilla, some chocolat. Nice, but lacks a bit of complexity in taste.

It pours deep darkness with brown edges and mocha brown head. The aroma is full with dusty dark fruitiness, bourbon booze, oak and full on coffee and earthy goodness. The taste begins with smooth oak notes and mild bourbon that quickly moves into dark roasted coffee and rich dark chocolate. It seems to dry out with some tannins and a red wine sensation. The dark chocolate also gives it a somewhat dry note too into the finish. Very nice.

Bomber from Odeed; Nose of chocolate, coffee, and some light bourbon; pitch black with a medium cinnamon tan head; flavor is more coffee, chocolate, oaky vanilla, , bourbon, and a bit of light bitterness; decent impy stout.
