Some oak but pretty boring overall. Astringincy and some sweetness in finish - actually a near hit for style. Pours dark copper with minimal head and lacing. On tap at brewpub.

Tap @ brewpub. Dark amber brown appearance with an off white head. Nice, sweet, toffee scotch ale nose. Somewhat boozy, almost grape-like, toffee, caramel malty flavor. A little boozy and strong for my taste.

Dark black body with barely any head. Aroma of fruits mixed with roasted barley. Flavour is syrupy sweetness and a hint of barley in there. Way too sweet, like sucking back on syrup. Cloying.

Draught at the brewpub
Nice dark amber color. There is some malt aroma. Medium-round mouthfeel, with some sweetish malt and caramel flavor, balancing bitterness, but as the other beers here, not many emotions; and there is a light sour touch, as if they don’t sell enough and the tap has been open too long...

tap at the brewpub - Pours dark amber with a medium-sized, enduring head that leaves some lacing. The aroma is mostly malt with a light fruity note. The sweet flavor is led by the malts and also includes a very light dark fruit flavor and some alcohol that’s noticeable. A medium body suits the beer well and leads to a mildly alcohol flavored finish.
