Dark brown colour. No particular head and looks kind of flat. Malty aroma is a strong but simple dose of brown sugar, with light fruit and alcohol accents. Flavour is very sweet, not-quite-chewy brown sugar notes and a bit of earthiness. Really sticks to your mouth. Alcohol comes in late and fairly restrained, not surprising given the weight of the malts. Rich, thick and simple.

Bottle. Chestnut brown, low head. Light roasted and raisiny aroma. Sweet preserved fruit and caramel base, light floral hops on top. Mellow, light sparkly mouthfeel, good body. Quite nice dessert beer.
