Corked bottle. Dark brown color. Malt, caramel and maple syrup in the arioma. Firm grassy, malty flavor with hints of cinnamon, caramel and dried fruit. No carbon, but that is my fault. I drank the beer within 3 weeks of bottling. Still a good beer and a worthy doppelbock, that shows a lot of promise. Will re-rate sooner or later.

Bottle, 75cl corked. It’s more or less clear in the class, copper-colored and topped by a finger-thick, dense, beige head. It’s meaty and malty on the nose, with clear indications that a sweet flavor is to expect. Some dried fruits and caramel too. It’s full-bodied and sweetish on the palate, and with caramel sweetness and dried fruits in the flavor, both initially and in the end. A nice doppelbock, although it differs a bit from the German tradition, tasteful and pleasant to drink. Wouldn’t mind to have it again some day. 100611
