From a 330ml bottle on 14/7/2011. Pours a cloudy dark orange with a small head which dissipates quickly. Has a strong aroma of caramel malt, musk and fruity hops. This one tastes big, just as you’d expect for something that’s 10.5%. It begins with a big caramel sweetness, along with pronounced orange and peach flavours. The hops are massive, with a dry, grapefruity bitterness that lingers in the mouth. The sweet/bitter contrast is quite extreme here. The alcohol present makes it more of a sipper than a quaffer. Yet a another fine crazy brew from Mikkeller.

Orange hazy pour with a small. creamy, white head. Some lacing. Fresh citrus hop aroma with lots of juicy malt supporting the hops. Some pine resin as well. The taste goes over your tongue with the juicy malt sweetness going first with the hop bitterness chasing right on the heels of the sweetness. All stays pretty much in balance however.

Bottle @ Dan’s house. Slightly hazy, yellow orange appearance with an off white head. Huge grapefruit, pineapple hoppy nose. Pretty bitter, floral, grapefruity citrusy hoppy flavor with some booze. Bitter, slightly boozy, grapefruity finish.

Pours hazy gold into a tulip. Off-white head with little retention recedes to mottle surface. Earthy resin and pear aromas. Sweet caramel and oats upfront turning to hot resin in the dry, lasting finish.

Bottle shared by Marcus. Pours hazy peach with a transient creamy off-white head. Aroma is almost slightly old cat pee- but lets call it over-heated citrus. Flavor is floral, cooked light stone fruit, and citrus. It is nicely bitter and extremely pleasing.

En fullmatad dubbelipa. Massor av malt och humle i bra balans med varandra. Doft av marmeladkok på grape och tropisk frukt. Maffigt! Vätskan är tjockt sirapsaktig och lite grumlig. Men 408 IBU?
