Draft @ Delirium Hoppy Loft: bright hazy amber / orange, smell is full American hops, grapefruits blast, touch marmalade, sweet malts, taste is very bitter, a fruity blast of grapefruit upfront, fruity, caramel, touch sweet malts, tangerine, flowers, lasting long, biter hop finish, touch too ridiculous probably but than again this still manages to remain enjoyable & drinkable so…

Draught @Viisi penniä, Helsinki. Poured hazy orange with a thick white head. Aroma had apricot and tropical fruity hoppyness. Very fruity bitter flavor, pine and grapefruit. Bitter dry and fruity finish. A bit sweet, hides the alcohol well. Easy to drink, tasty. Sticky, oily mouthfeel.

(Draught at Oluttupa Viisi Penniä,20120412) The beer poured orange and cloudy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had citricness, grapefruit, pine and malts. Palate was medium bodied and warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were hops, grapefruit, pine, alcohol, malts, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy, fruity, malty and bitter. Even though double IPAs aren’t my favourites currently this one pleased me a lot. Alcohol could have been better hidden.

Draught @ Viisi Penniä, Helsinki

Pours yellowish orange with a smooth white head. Strong fruity aroma with notes of apricose, orange, lemon and sweet malts. Taste is quite fruity and massively bitter with notes of exotic fruits, sweet malts and caramel. Finish is hoppy and bitter with hints of sticky sweetness and alcohol. Tasty, hoppy and well balanced IIPA.

draft @ Delirium Hoppy Loft.

Medium, dense, lightly yellowish coloured head over hazy orange-ochre beer. Cat’s pee, blackcurrant leaf, passion fruit. Rather catty hops, definitely, even a bit of human sweat. Yet, Overall it’s quite, and mainly, fruity. Very bitter, with hops, citrus, citruspeel, but also arachide, peanuts. Some fatty acids? (@ De Proef???) Woodbark, and a peppery finish. Cattiness all but gone in the mouth, but also much less fruity than the nose. Sharp MF, quite carbonated, medium bodied and very slick, but a tad agressive. Another one that, let’s be honest, is pretty unidimensional, Overall...

Draught at Plan B, Copenhagen
Light amber color; creamy head. The aroma is strong, nice, hoppy, fruity (apricots, peaches and durian), lightly cheesy. The body is quite round, and surely bold; there is some sweet malt and toffee flavor, quite clean, with a powerful bitterness, bringing a lot of hop resins and enough fruity character, bitter oranges. Very good.

12 oz. bottle, split with Matts_Property, pours a cloudy peachy orange with a white head. Aroma is insanely hoppy, with truckloads of citrus hops, some tropical fruits (peach, mango), loads of grapefruit, with not much malt backing to be detected. Flavour begins caramely and fruity, even sweet at the beginning, then the mountains of hops pummel through and completely coat your palate, leaving an uncompromising hop destruction of your palate. Excellent.
