Cask at the Welly, pre Cotts Convention IV warm up act, 23/06/18 ... first Oakham beer this year ? Rich chestnut brown with a decent light beige covering. Nose is rye bread, sweet malts, toffee, dried fruits. Taste comprises dusty fruit rinds, brown sugar, caramel, light fruit cake. medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with a light layer of dusty hop bitterness. Decent enough cask amber.

Cask at the Wellington - Birmingham. Pours clear amber with a foamy, off-white head. So so, some toasty male, pine, grass, earth. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Bitter finish, earthy, more toasted malts, brown bread, pine. So so.
