Dry, sour, a touch bitter. Apricot, dry oak, a bit of wet basement funk. Low acidity, rustic, very nice.

0,75l bottle from Drikbeer advent calendar, #9. Bottled 11/21. Clear golden amber beer with good and stable head. Aroma is oak, yeast and cognac. Flavour is oak barrel, citrusy fruits and woody tart notes. Light body, easy, good balance between sweet and sour notes.

750mL bottled Nov 2021, drunk 10/16/22. Clear, copper-bronze. Large, white head slowly fading to cover. Fruity, armagnac-forward but not dominated with honey-like maltiness and mild lactic acidity. Light brett, lots of soft, fruity, oaky barrel and a very clean, snappy finish. Soft and malty, oaky, though mostly flavorful not so much tannin/texture. Juicy bacteria and light brett with interesting and fun Armagnac. But still....just not that funky or complex. Not funky at all, really. It's just Armagnac, oak, light lactic acid and base malt. No sense of terroir here, nor any barnyard or any funk.

Corked bottle at Oakes' Manor
Cloudy goldden colour with large head. Interesting aroma, interlacing funk and incense, with a bit of citrus peel. Bone dry, very smooth thanks to the high carbonation, the flavour goes in a direction similar to some Lambic, but a bit different, much more citrus peel, and a touch of incense (the Armagnac probably).
Very good.

750ml @ Josh's place. Appearance: nice murky golden with a white head. Aroma: a bit of kind of pleasant medicial notes, some fruity, woody, and ascorbic notes. Taste: along the same lines, very woody. Overall: pretty good.

Has a mellow amber with a bit of haze. Nice tartness, very woody character, with a subtle Armagnac note. On the palate, it's quite woody again, with a fairly bracing acidity. Pretty good.

750mL bottle, pours a hazy bronze with a medium white head. Aroma brings out lots of oak, lots of cognac, and some wild critters. Flavour is loaded with cognac and oak barrels upfront, with cardboard, bitterness, and lots of oak. The cognac is really assertive, with some old crusty bready in there. Unusual but quite elegant. Very good.
