18,2% Plato.

0.5 bottle. Fortunately, of course, it is not brew in Hungary :) The label is 'crappy', but it is not essential. Deep chestnut color, filtered, nice shades, like brownish-white foam, which lasts moderately. Very good caramel vision with a full-bodied delicate aroma, prunes and other dried fruits also feel good, based on this it promises to be good. Its scent is similar to Paulaner Salvator anyway. Taste: fuller than expected, more complex, more complex, very serious. It is more of a sweet base with a perfect amount of carbonic acid for this style. I didn't drink cold because of the flavors. So sweet, dried orchard, so oily full-bodied that I looked, there is nothing else in it, but of course the German law of purity lives on ... It’s a huge positive disappointment. Extraordinary semi-brown / dark double legs. Highly recommended !!!! I wish Löwen knew about this here.

Szerencsére természetesen nem nálunk főzik :) A címke gagyi, de nem lényeges. Mély gesztenye szín, szűrt, szép árnyalatos, mint a barnásfehér hab is, ami közepesen tart. Nagyon jó karamellmalátás testes finom illat, aszalt szilva egyéb aszalt gyümölcs is érződik, ez alapján jónak ígérkezik. Illata amúgy hasonlít a Paulaner Salvatorra. Íz: a vártnál testesebb, komplexebb, összetettebb, nagyon komoly. Inkább édeskés alap, ehhez a stílushoz tökéletes szénsav mennyiséggel. Nem ittam hidegen az ízek miatt. Annyira édes, aszalt gyümölcsös, annyira olajosan testes, hogy megnéztem, nincs e benne mégis más, de természetesen a német tisztasági törvény él... Ez egy hatalmas pozitív csalódás. Rendkívüli félbarna/sötét duplabak. Kiemelten ajánlott!!!! Bárcsak a Löwent itt erről ismernék.

500ml bottle. Clear, chestnut colour with ruby glimmer and average, thick, firm, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Sweet-ish, toasty, caramel malty aroma, notes of malt lozenge, some dark caramel, a minimally nuttily touch. Taste is minimally dry and minimally sweet, toasty, caramel malty, hints of malt lozenge, dark caramel, a cautious nuttily touch. Well controlled sweetness, lacks some depth, though.

50 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Edeka, Kleve. Clear mahogany with a tan head. Biscuity grainy aroma with raisins and dark caramel. Sweet taste with a bittersweet finish. Great German-solid doppelbock.

On tap at Lowenbrau Biergarten in Baden Baden. Dark reddish brown color. Frothy beige head. Sweet malty, roasty aroma with notes of caramel and dried fruit. Complex flavor. Moderately bitter finish. Well balanced and flavorful. A decent example of the style. Tasted on 8/13/19.

Ruby brown color, small head. Malty aroma. Sweet very malty flavor, with peach. pear and caramel. Some bitterness in the aftertaste, that is overpowered by the malty sweetness. Nice and easy drinking full bodied doppelbock. July 2012: Bottle @ Gasthof Oberwirt Ramsau. Dark brown color. Malt, toffee and a hint of roast in the aroma. malty sweet flavor with caramel and soft roast notes. Full bodied. Caramel aftertaste. Goes down very well after a long walk.
