Pure Icelandic glacier water and a classic witbier recipe combine to create our Icelandic White Ale. Crafted clean and crisp, the balanced addition of orange peel, coriander, and rolled oats ensure this beer remains incredibly flavorful and refreshingly drinkable.

bottle from supermarket in Bath, UK. pours pale yellow with a white head. Aroma of pilsener malts, wheat, coriander, light orange. Taste is very soft, a lot of coriander, orangem fresh, pilsener malts, the herbal notes stay on the tip of the tongue, citrus, weak body, fresh, nice carbo. --- Beer merged from original tick of Icelandic White Ale on 25 May 2018 at 10:13 - Score: 7

330 ml bottle, from the taxfree store at Billund Airport, Denmark. ABV is 5.2%, 12.8% Plato. Practically clear and very pale yellow colour, moderate to low white head. Strong aroma of grassy and herbal German or Czech pilsener hops, no sign of this being a witbier. Dry and crisp flavour, now with citrussy notes (lemon/lime rather than orange peel), but still not much witbier character. Refreshing though - my rating is, as always, hedonistic - if I rated by style, the score would be lower.

Bottle at home. Pours a cloudy matt yellow colour with a creamy white head. Aroma of mowed grass, lemongrass, lime, coriander, Belgian yeast, citrus, white bread and dry hay. Fruity flavour as well with more citrus, perfumy soap, grass and dry hay. Has slick and light mouth feel, medium body and a light bitterness. A fresh and light type of witbier. Decent enough.

330 ml bottle into pine glass, bottled on 3/29/2016. Pours hazy golden straw color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of lemon, pear, apple, orange peel, coriander, pepper, clove, wheat, white bread, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/earthy yeast, spices, and moderate pale malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, pear, apple, orange peel, coriander, pepper, clove, wheat, white bread, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal bitterness and yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, pear, apple, orange peel, coriander, pepper, clove, wheat, white bread, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance fruity/earthy yeast, spices, and moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness as well. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, fairly crisp, creamy/grainy, and lightly sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.2%. Overall this is a delicious witbier! All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance fruity/earthy yeast, spices, and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Bottle: Nearly clear, pale yellow with a tall white head. Lemon, wheat scent. Taste is light.....lemon, wheat malt, coriander.... Mild and quite light feeling....god and summery, but nothing spectacular.
