A pony truck on a steam locomotive is an axle with two unpowered wheels designed to help negotiate curves on the line.

Our Pony Truck has nothing to do with axles, wheels or negotiating curves – we just like the sound of it and think it suits our super hoppy pale ale.

Brewed with Wai-iti and First Gold hops, Pony Truck is refreshing and juicy, with a truckload of ripe peach flavours.

Peaches and green tea combined to give a zesty, spritzy light ale. It pours a pale gold with a small, frothy white head, and an aroma of light biscuit malt and peaches. It's pretty thin bodied, quite watery, with a bit of zing in the mouthfeel, peach and green tea flavours combined, and a short, light bitterness in the finish

Bottle from B&M, Rochdale. Golden with a carbonation and a thin head. Has apricot in both aroma and taste, with the latter coming across somewhat floral, but always sweet. The 'steaming' is apparent in its texture.

[33cl bottle from B&M, Tolworth.] A pale amber pour with an immediately vanishing white head leaving a very flat appearance; aroma of apricot kernels; flabby apricot taste; more apricot to finish. Disappointing.
