Sea Fury is an exceptional example of the Special Bitter beer style, offering substance and depth of flavour without compromising balance and drinkability. An aroma of inviting roasted and dark berry notes gives way to sumptuous, fruity, malty flavour and a moreish hop finish.

Bottle at home, 03/05/16. Rich copper with a reddish flicker in the light, topped with a light beige head of bubbles. Nose is biscuit malt, caramel, light fruit esters, grassy notes, light spice. Taste comprises toffee, biscuit, fruit loaf, airy malts, faint red berry twinge, dried fruits. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced bitterness and good malt interplay. Decent ESB.

Bottle from Asda, Purley Way. It pours clear deep red - brown with a thick off-white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, toffee, fruit cake, brown bread and honey cake. the taste is smooth, bitter - sweet, malt-driven, toffee, toasted nuts, dried fruits, fruit cake and touch of cherry cola with a dry, woody finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Pretty flavoursome and all comes together rather well. Decent.
