Rocky white head left a cover on a slowly carbonating translucent amber body. Sweet, fruity & biscuit aroma. Medium bodied, smooth with a sharp back. Sweet, fruity, caramel tea & spiced tastes with a bitter peppery finish. Very tasty

Bottle from local Asda. Not much of a nose on this one – just some vague maltiness. Pours a golden yellow with a small transient white head. First sip gives a zesty orange spiciness. Further investigation discovers some sweet malts lying underneath with hints of honey and lemongrass. Finish is on the dry side. It’s reasonable if not wildly exciting.

Keg at Butcher Shop. Clear gold with a creamy off white head. Sweet cream and spice aroma, flavour is broadly similar. Nothing exciting but decent enough

Keg @ Pennyweight, Darlington. Golden-blonde with a glow and a creamy head. It's crisp-hoppy with a metallic-hoppy nose. It's fine but not flavoursome.

Bottle from Asda. Golden in colour, with a touch of fizz and short-lived, white, head. A touch of floral hop, trace of citrus fruit, sweetish, rich tea malts, leading to a moderately bitter finish. A solid bottled beer.

500ml bottle (as Theakston Pale Ale, Unpasteurised & Cold Filtered); BB 31st May 19. Drank at home on 15th Sep 18. Clear golden body, white head. Light malty front to the aroma and taste, bready and biscuity in nature. Aftertaste was a little drier than the flavours initially hinted at. Decent session ale which would most likely be better in cask form sitting in a pub with mates.
