A potent mix of Summit, El Dorado and Cascade hops delivers a hefty zing of spicy citrus, sweet orange and stone-fruit. Generous helpings of of Lager and Munich malts gives balance to this delightful, pale gold coloured beer.

50cl bottle from Tesco, Amersham. A brilliant pale golden colour with a thin white head and lively carbonation; biscuity aroma; biscuity malt taste, rather sweet with a light earthy bitterness. Reminds me of an old-fashioned Light Ale.

Keg (unpasteurised), as Theakston Pale Ale, at the Boot Room, Wheldale Hotel, Castleford. Golden colour, creamy white head. Moderate aroma, hints of citrussy hops. Lovely creamy and smooth mouthfeel. Smooth flavour too, with tolerable citrussy hops.
