Bottle. A- Roasty, char, cocoa. A- Black color, black liquid, beige head. T- Roasty, slightly bitter, cocoa. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, slightly bitter finish. O- Really I suspect this is what Guinness tastes like without the nitrogen influence. Okay.

Getrunken als „Guinness Extra Stout“ mit 4,1 % Alk. Sehr malziger Geruch. Geschmacklich ebenso. Röstig, trockene Noten. Die reichlich vorhandene Kohlensäure verstärkt den trockenen Eindruck, verschleiert aber die röstig/malzigen Noten etwas und die Tatsache, dass das Bier insgesamt recht leer ist. Trotzdem ganz gut trinkbar, aber auch ganz klar nix wo ich vor Verzückung niederbreche.

Near black with a frothy / creamy tan head and an aroma of lightly roasted malt. Smooth and semi-creamy, it's smooth and satisfying without offering much beyond roasted malt and a hint of nuttiness

Bottle from Tesco. Pours black with a large thick creamy beige head. Aromas of roasted malts, chocolate and coffee. Taste has more roasted malts, chocolate and coffee. Roasty bitterness on the finish. Medium body and very smooth oily mouthfeel. Decent for a mass produced Stout.

Rocky beige head left a creamy cover on a black still body. Bitter malt aroma. Medium bodied, sharp with a clean back. Malt, coal, nutty, burnt & bitter tastes. Decent

500ml bottle. Pours black with large beige head that leaving considerable retention and lacing; promising. Aroma of toasted malts and dark fruits; not complex but inviting. It has a low to moderate body which does feel a bit watery for a stout. The carbonation is very lively at first before settling down. I think a strong carbonation works well on a thin lager as it distracts, in part, from the lack of flavour. However, there is flavour here so you don't need that overt distraction. This is where the draught version is much better with its smoothness which enhances the flavour in my view. Taste is sweet toffee, roasted notes, malts, and a lovely dark fruity note which combines with a bitterness in the finish; quite tasty. Overall very nice except for the mouthfeel.
