Brewed with the same base recipe as all our ‘seasonal saisons’ follow, L’Hiver has been infused with hawthorn leaves and berries to give a most wintery feel to the beer – an almost barren taste (in a good way!) Our use of Brettanomyces and Lactobacillus yeasts ensure this beer continues to develop in flavour.

On tap at Craft Clerkenwell. Cloudy pale gold lasting white head. Perfumed saison aroma. Good bretty style flavour with a little apple flavour in the mouth. Stingy hop bitterness on the finish. Good lemon bitterness. Some leafy lime flavour too. Tasty saison. Good. Lovely hop on a building finish. Complex and excellent

Keg at CPK - London. Pours cloudy, yellow-gold with a firm, cream white head. There’s a good dose of brett on the nose, some baby diapers, ripening tangerine, light pine needles. Light sweet flavor, fairly dry, with probounced brett character, a bit of grassy and rindy bitterness, some mango and melon. Light bodied with fine to average, massaging carbonation. Super clean to finish with further drying brett, more restrained bitterness, decent citrus, some tangerine, more melon, light grapefruit, subtle musty hay. Exceptionally well balanced. This is the best thing I have had from Burning Sky.
