Brewed with the same base recipe as all our ‘seasonal saisons’ follow, L’Hiver has been infused with hawthorn leaves and berries to give a most wintery feel to the beer – an almost barren taste (in a good way!) Our use of Brettanomyces and Lactobacillus yeasts ensure this beer continues to develop in flavour.

Quite citrusy, quite bitter. Not so saisony, but it’s interesting. Bit creamy.

Off white rocky head soon left a blotch cover on a hazy lemon juice coloured still body. Zesty citrus aroma. Medium bodied, sharp on the palate with clean dry finish. Lemon, herbs, spice, light malt & apple tastes with mildly sour back.

On tap @Mad for Beer (Rome). Gialla acida, mediamente torbida, schiuma bianca media molto persistente. Al naso splendido bouquet di lieviti, spezie e luppolo, con note agrumate, citriche e speziate, scorza di limone. In bocca è estremamente secca, con leggera speziatura e finale erbaceo. Corpo medio-leggero, carbonazione media. Ottima!

Bottle. Little Leeds Beer House. Hazy, straw colour. Thick, sudsy, lasting, white head. Nose is grassy and herbal. Notes of privet leaf and lemongrass. White pepper. Sweet, pale bread yeastiness. Taste has bready sweetness. Thin, watery mouthfeel. Foamy carbonation. Finishes soapy and thin. Not for me.
