Bottle, batch 2. Lots of red berries in the aroma, with a touch of funk. Tart and moderate to medium sour. Gorgeous berry aroma, nice sourness. Medium body. Very good, ecstatic berries. Lovely.

Bottle shared at yearly Fryslân tasting. Reddish to darker reddish color, average sized off-white head. Aroma and flavor are malts, berries, red berries, moderately sour, very balanced. Love it. Very nice.

Bottle thanks to Russell. Pours a cloudy purple with small off white head that lasts. The aroma is strong yeast, earth, currant, oak. Medium body, currant, yeast, oak, dry finish, very nice.

Poured from a 750 ml bottle. Aroma is moderately currant forward with lighter SARA house funk. Light lemon and green grape notes with lighter herbal, earthy funk. Faint oak and tannins with a hint of alcohol. Pours a fairly clear, dark, deep purple color with a large, thick, pillowy, light pink head that exhibits nice retention as it slowly recedes to a small film that lingers. High amount of lacing and small legs. Flavor is somewhat sweet with a moderate acidity and light malt notes. Light bitterness and light alcohol notes. Moderately strong black currant notes. Light lemon, green grape and tannins notes. Faint oak. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice black currant saison. The fruit is definitely the primary character and adds a bit more tannins and acidity than the typical SARA saison, but it's a fun beer and solid display of the underlying fruit.
