The label on this one contains echoes of where our journey began, County Durham.

Who fancies a sesh? Tropical hops, soft and smooth. Well hopped can of joy. Light and clean but it’s dangerously drinkable. A midweek marvel.

1/3 pint, draught at Craft Beer Co. - The Bear Paddington. Shared with Finn. Covering white head, misty golden body, clingy lacing. Moderate aromas of grain and grassy hops with a citric note. The taste character combines creamy malts, biscuit, and ripe citrus. Semi dry malt-fruity ending. Soft mouth feel. Pretty fair. (London 09.02.2023).

Keg draught at the Real Ale Classroom, Stoneygate, Leicester. Light to mid-gold, hazy with a small white head. Sweet citrus peel with notes of orchard fruit and a touch of mint. Sweet taste with vanilla notes from the strong malt base, alongside some juicy hop bitterness. Finish is a little bit short leaving a trace of bitter hop on the back of the tongue. Heavy carbonation hides the thinnish body. Not a powerhouse but still a damn good drink.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from Cambridge Wines. Pours murky orange-gold with a frothy, eggshell head. Lightly sweet, quite grainy, with kites of lemon peel, pine needles, biscuits, cedar. Light bodied with active, massaging carbonation. Further grainy pale malts to finish, rindy bitterness, lightly faded pine needles. I wander if the beers is a little past it’s prime. So so overall.
