Bottle. Sticky dark roasted malt aroma with coffee. 'Appelstroop'. Touch of tobacco. Sweet with a mild bitterness. Thick body. Some boozy sharpness. Rich and delicious.

Bottle shared at yearly Fryslân tasting. Opaque pitch black color, small brown head. Aroma is malts, roasted malts, coffee, bourbon, (Dutch) "appelstroop". Flavor is malts, roasted malts, bourbon, coffee and again appelstroop. Light liquor alcohol burn in the finish. Thick oily texture, full body, suitable soft carbonation. Delicious.

Creamy lightbrown excellent fully lasting head. Black colour. Heavy malty and hoppy aroma. Heavy bitter flavor. Long heavy bitter finish. Creamy palate. Excellent.

Bottle split at the 'fuck me it's Kenny tasting, group purchase via Wingmane - Watford, 25/06/21. Black with a solid tan cap that thins to a swirl. Nose is sweet chocolate, coffee grinds, dark malts, toffee fudge. Taste comprises rich roast, toffee, brown sugar melt, coffee cake, molasses, mellow bourbon reposte. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a kiss of balanced alcohol. Top notch.

Bottle shared in Watford - cheers to the team. Pours black-brown with a foamy tan head. Medium to big sweet flavour, rich gooey chocolate, smooth coffee, mellow roast, bourbon, vanilla, raisins. Full bodied, oily, chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming finish, very slightly sticky, richly layered chocolate character, more vanilla, smooth coffee, rocky road. Great stuff.

Bottle at home shared at the friendly Friday tasting. 25/06/2021. Thanks. A oily dark brown black coloured pour with halo of tan head. Aroma is brown sugars cinnamon, green apple cinnamon. Brandy snap sugars. Toffee, Palate is full and sticky, moderate carbonation, Very good.

25th June 2021 Tasting at Fergus gaff. Thanks to the team. Opaque dark brown beer, tiny pale tan head. Rich chocolate malts, vanilla laden dark chocolate. A little fruity chocolate. Mild rum and raisan. Smooth finish.
