Huge, yellow dense head, quite stable over - indeed - dark cognac coloured beer. End of bottle solid yeast. Woodpulp, alcohol & fusels, wafflesyrup, maple syrup. Harsh-ish bitter flavour, thanks to hopresins, over a very alcoholic-sweet, syrupy background. Waffles with bitter nuts. Warming up, a kind of earthy flavour. Well-bodied, syrupy but not sticky, apart from the resin feel. Good carbonation. No, not cognac and champagne, but cognac from Petite and Grande Champagne - but who knows... serious punch.

Bottle picked up from somewhere in the Netherlands and consumed at home Sunday 9th December 2018. Pours dark reddy/brown with an off white head, sticky. Barley and toffee in abundance there is a little vanilla and a touch nutty. Soft in the mouth, a little sticky, boozy but it's a nice booziness to it. This is good.A8 A4 T7 P4 Ov15 3.8

No cognac, not champagney. Bitter and boozy. Not bad, but not what promised.
