50cl bottle from Morrisons. Bright amber with a fast fading white head and high carbonation; straightforward malty aroma; lively malty taste with some sweet caramel; and some dry grassy hops adding some light spice to the finish.

Bottle at home from local shop. Light amber / copper colour with a loose big buble white head. Aroma is initally caramel and toffee and some diacetyl. The is some socks and nuts. Flavour is biscuit caramel malt, tartness in the finiish, some evident stalling. Medium sweet and medium body. Really not very good.

[500ml bottle from Tescos, Portsmouth, 6-3-7-3-9] Amber-copper with a moderate foamy beige head. Tastes immediately of sweet caramel and vanilla. Soap comes through, then there’s a crackle of autumn leaves and just a hint of bitterness in the finish. Buttery, greasy mouthfeel. The pasteurisation is very evident. But my overall impression was dominated by sweetness, and not in a pleasant way. Disappointing from this brewery, as my other experiences of their beers have generally been favourable. [Re-rate, 31/5/2013 at Fallen Tree restaurant, Brockenhurst, 5-3-5-3-8] Fizzy, pale amber. Bland with soap, a little bitterness and a little citrus. Metallic tang of pasteurisation is pretty dominant. This is poor, worse than I remember.

Bottle: Deep golden, hazy, lacy white foamy layer, drier fruity-bready nose, a tinge of well hidden honey included, some delicate metallic-hoppy traces, too; light bitter-sweet flavour, pretty slim; dryish fruity-hoppy finish.surely not bad, but too thin…

(bottle) Hazy, amber colour with a medium-sized off-white foamy head. Slightly yeasty, bready malty aroma with hints of caramel, accompanied by herbal and subtle fruity hops. Mildly bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Rather dry cara-malt-character with more fruity accents on the palate, especially towards the bitter-weet and mildly caramely finish. Easy-going. 20.XI.12
