750mL bottle at the Cellar, 2/17/24. Pretty viscous, dark, magenta highlights, no head. Intensely soft, rich vanilla. Lots of it. Crunchy dark cacao and light bourbon spice behind it. Love the vanilla, but from a purist sense, I do think it covers up some of the malt and barrel that I'm more interested in. Kind of insane it's still this strong, too. No booze, not excessively sweet. Floral vanilla with strong liquor and bourbon like spice and dryness. Rich, thick, not syrupy, not too sweet. Tons of vanilla with lingering earthiness and perfume. Bourbon character begins to take over the finish as it warms and breathes. I want to get more excited about this artfully done beer, but vanilla seems so ubiquitous, despite how incredibly well done it is here.

Bottle thanks to John. Pours black with small tan head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is strong vanilla bean, milk chocolate, marshmallow, bourbon, dark fruit. Slick body, similar flavors to nose, nice sweetness, light booze, enjoyed this.
