Azacca Farmhouse IPA

Dew Point is our funky riff on the modern NEIPA, featuring a single hop varietal (Azacca) used in both the kettle and as a big dry hop. We co-fermented this beer with our saison culture and some of our favourite strains of brettanomyces.

Pours with excellent foam and a clear gold body, strong carbonation. The aroma is pineapple, vanilla, tangerine, soft orange creamsicle in a fresh way. Flavour is good hops, slight sweetness, soft citrus. Crisp mouthfeel, great oiliness. Highly enjoyable.

Can from Legacy LRS, Vancouver
Cloudy blond colour with large head. Very nice aroma, citrusy hops and strong Belgian yeast, coriander. The mouthfeel is quite chalky, there's some good hop but also some vegetable bitterness.
Ok but dirty.

473mL can, pours a hazy golden blonde with a large, foamy white head with long retention. Aroma reveals a wonderful farmhouse funk upfront that combines nicely with floral and piney hops -- what a nice bouquet. Flavour follows through exactly as expected, with sharp, bitter, biting piney hops, grassiness, and a big farmhouse funk. Biting and bitter, with a wonderful marriage between the hops and funk. Excellent.

Quite pale and opaque. Medium head. On the nose, the estery/phenolic saison yeast shows up first, with plastic, fruitiness and maybe a bit of hop fighting its way through that. Moderate bitterness, though, and that actually brightens this up a bit, lending lychee and grapefruit both to the mix. The pale malts come across more on the palate, too. So on the palate, there's a lot to like. It's drier, but more balanced throughout. It's just the aroma that's a bit below standard with the assertive yeastiness.
