Smells of huge alcoholic chocolate syrup, soft coffee mousse, chocolate wafers dipped in cognac, overbearing even for a beer like this. Has very nice jet black brown body and some modest foam on top. Flavour is nice coconut, sweet, heavy artificial syrup, hints of sweetened black coffee. Mouthfeel has nice dryness and the alcohol is very well hidden. It's a good heavy stout, many nice elements working well together.

4oz at the brewery. Appearance: dark brown a a dark beige head. Aroma: sweet, nice barrel, cocoa, tonka beans and fruity character. Taste: along the same lines, lots of whiskey, doesn't have much of the body as for 11% ABV. Overall: pretty good.

On tap at Luppolo, pours jet black with a large, dark brown head. Aroma is intense, with loads of whiskey barrels, tonka and vanilla beans, some cocoa, and a lactose. Flavour is still tonka bean-forward, with monstrously forward whiskey barrels that manage to still be subdued enough, followed by lactose and some cocoa. Really nice blend of whiskey and tonka beans. Excellent.

Dark brown with a light head. Big fruity aroma with lots of chocolate. Also a lot of vanilla, soft barrel accents (it's Odd Society whisky), and then finishing with sweet milk chocolate. I like the base beer quite a bit, and the different variants have also made me happy.

Draught at the brewery
Black colour with small brownish head. Nice aroma, spirit, chocolate, vanilla, cocoa nibs, nuts. Good body strength; upfront there is dark chocolate flavour, with some vanilla, mild sweetness, cocoa; then the alcohol punches in, a bit like a liqueur filled praline.
Very nice, bold.
