As the world slowly comes out of quarantine, the artwork shared on the Waypoint Hazy Pale Ale packaging and cans also holds some timely symbolism. The illustration highlights Stanley Park’s Brockton Lighthouse signifying a beacon of light in a sea of haze. We can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. The brew itself is made with a strong mix of hops and malts including: African Queen, Comet and Crystal hops; and Pale Malt, Malted Oats, Malted Wheat, and Golden Naked Oats. It has a golden haze appearance, an aromatic grapefruit citrus and tropical fruit flavour, and a low perceived bitterness and refined alcohol level.

5oz shared with wife during the meeting with Dmytro and his family. Appearance: hazy blonde with a white head. Aroma: lots of tropical fruits, juicy. Taste: lots of fruits, somehow quite prominent strawberry notes, crispy, a bit harsh, some dirty notes. Overall: not bad.

Draught at YVR at the Canucks bar. Hazy light yellow with minimal off white head. Kind Of murky for a NEIPA. Aroma and flavor are muted. Stopover from Dublin and this is a bit rough as I feel.

Poured from the tap. Slightly hazy gold with small white head. Light biscuit malt and citrus hops, very forgettable.

Citrus and hazy. A little lime. Hazy golden pour with ok head. Tangy, cloying finish. Tap at brewery.

A hazed blonde ale with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, light biscuit malt with grassy resinous hops, light mineral notes, OK. In mouth, sweet fruity malt with light grassy hops, light mineral notes, light cereals, OK.

Very pale. Thin head. Light fruity nose, medium bitterness. Leafy cannabis and grapefruity hop notes. Clean pale malt base.

Smells modestly of hops, way too faint and unusual as these guys often brew stuff with good aromas. Has nice foam on a good foggy yellow body. Flavour is weak floral hops, simplistic, boring. Mouthfeel is too wet. I've got no idea what went wrong here but this is the most tepid beer I've come across at this brewery. Clean though.
