It's 1971 and he just turned 50. The wife died 10 years ago and he's eyeing his paunch in the mirror in his t-shirt. Finally, he has a date and there's this cologne on his vanity counter. It has a medium weak yellow appearance and I somehow can already smell the sweat coming out of the man's pores, as he opens the bottle and starts to pile it on. He wanders out of the bathroom to stare at the window. I sneak into his bathroom and take a sip out of the cologne bottle. Suddenly he lights one of those potpourri candles and I start coughing, effusively. Then I snap out of it - I'm not in this middle aged man's apartment after all. I'm actually drinking a beer that tastes like this in Port Moody... and I can only wonder why.

Dull pale yellow without a head. Sourish nose, kind of spicy, finishes with lemon sharpness and basil notes. Not bad on the palate...but i had a lot of reasons to be concerned about that.
