On tap at Bomber. Pours a clear deep gold with a white head. Dry caramel and faint dry grass on the nose. Flavour has a soggy straw character, dry caramel, some dry grass. It's okay.

On tap at the brewery, listed as 5.7%. Nothingness for aroma, medium copper body and little foam in the glass. Flavour is soft malt and nothing else. Weak mouthfeel with a bit of vague crispness. All so very boring.

Bright copper with a thick head. Looks nice. Nice lacing, too. Caramelly, slightly earthy nose. Light bitterness, lots of caramelly, crackery malts. Pretty good body. Lots of sweetness. Might be a touch sweet for mass drinking, but a good example.

On tap. Pours a clear mahogany with light white head. Aromas of toasted malts, dried honey, and raisins. Flavors of doughy malts, biscuits, nuts and light candied raisins. Clean and smooth for the style.

On tap at Bomber, pours a clear golden orange with a small beige head. Aroma is clean, with notes of corn, bready malt, and a very light fruitiness. Flavour is rather bizarre, with sweet caramel bready malt, corn and a slight vegetal quality. Not a disaster, but not so elegant either. Drinkable.

Draught at the brewery
Clear, beautiful dark amber color. It has light biscuity malt aroma and flavor, delicate bottom fermentation esters, moderate bitterness.
Oktoberfest is not an exciting style, but within the style this beer is clearly above the average, it has some interesting elements, it’s balanced and it’s very clean.
