Based on a legend of the Bokkereyers, the Bokkereyer is an artisan tasting beer with an amber color palette. Terrifying and spectacular, with an affably bitter aftertaste.

Off-white creamy head, mostly diminishing. Clear, amber body. Hoppy aroma. Lightly sweet, lightly bitter initial flavour. Soft carbonation, light to medium body.

Never had a fresh one - this rating is for a 13 year old vintage. Mahogany colour; thick, chewy, deeply malty nose (at this age not a surprise); full warm body, fruit in the background but prominent caramel malts are the key. Probably several years past its best.
