Lager de style Bavarois, la Valkyrie se démarque avec sa robe cuivrée et ses arômes prononcés de caramel et de houblon épicé. Brassée selon les régulations de l'Ordonnance de pureté allemande «Reinheitsgebot».

4-pack at La Trappe à Fromage with a 7% ABV. written on can. Pours a deep amber colour with a foamy warm beige head, average retention and a little lace. Very malty aromas of rye, cereal, bread, caramel, apples and hints of spices (cinnamon, nutmeg). The malts continues in the taste, but milder. Cereal, bread, darker malts, minerals and notes of hops in the finish. Not a bad brew with well-hidden alcohol.

Draught at Archibald - Aéroport de Montréal; 7% ABV
Reddish amber color with almost no head. The aroma is a not woody, the body strength is OK, the flavor has mild caramel and a grainy touch. It reminds me of many bottled German Dunkler Bocks.
Simple but pleasant.

Reddish amber ale with a thin white head. Good perfumey hops, fruity esters, and sweet caramle in aroma. A good malt base with a touch of criisp german hops, well balanced. Medium bodied. Nice nuttyness develops as beer warms up. Another good surprise, the brewer must be getting better (or they got a new one).
