Coffee and roasted smells on the nose, round and smooth malty mouthfeel that is enhanced with the warmth of the 5.8% alcohol and that is balanced with the bitterness coming from the dark malts.

Bomber, modest head, okay brown, nuttiness on the nose and hints of hops, soft molasses, sharpness. Flavour has hints of coffee, nut, sour chocolate. Weak on the mouth, needs a little more oomph. Promise, but it hasn’t arrived yet.

Some roast but fairly light overall. Pours black/dark brown with ok head. Light sweet finish. Not a lot of substance here. Tap at Barley Bros Stadium.

On tap St. Augustine's, pours a deep dark mahogany / brown with a small tan head. Aroma brings out toasted malt, cocoa and bready notes. Flavour is quite bready, with toasted bready malt, cocoa and thick sludgy, almost fudge-like notes. Super thick palate. It doesn't seem much like a porter as much as a fudgy dessert dark beer. Decent but a little off the mark.

Lots of roast, sweet malts, little bit nutty, good body. Nice porter, really quaffable. Good brew.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Dark mahogany color, some light goes through, with compact head. Mild aroma of roasted malt with a bread accent. Smooth, quite dry in the front, mellow later; good roasted malt flavor with some firewood and oven baked bread, mildly chocolatey; correct bitterness, some of it from the roasted malt, hiding the hop resins.
Fresh, pleasant.

650 ml bottle. Pours black with medium head. Aromas of grass, coffee, and malts. Flavors of burnt malts, grass, dry cocoa, light citrus and hops. As per previous rating, not a porter. But nice,
