Your mission - should you choose to accept it, is to escape from the mundane and indulge your taste buds in a hop explosion! This is a plot twisting beer that embraces adventure. Light bodied with bold Northwest hop aromas and citrusy flavours, this beer won’t leave you with a bitter ending. Like every great blockbuster this beer screams for a sequel.

On tap at Vancouver Island, pours a clear yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out light piney hops and dry crackery malt, wth a fairly sharp astringency. Flavour is very floral hop heavy, with dry biscuity malt on the underside. Clean enough, but not ambitious. A bitter floral bomb.

Modest bleach-white head and clear golden body. Aroma of sweet hops with a bit of a bite, okay complexity. Flavour is malty on the start with some hoppiness but not enough to carry it or make it sing. A bit weak on the mouthfeel. This could have been so much better.

Dull light gold, aroma is fairly hoppy but they’re dull, cheesy hops, with only a little bit of bright pear and cantaloupe shining through. Mellow bitterness, a dull hop character and a bit of caramel in the body, it’s more or less in the style but the lack if brightness is a problem - you shouldn’t have to search around for a compelling element.

650 ml bottle. Pours an orange/amber with light head. Aromas of grassy hops and resin. Flavors are similar. Bitter. Not really any evidence of NW hops.

Draught at Tap & Barrel, Coal Harbor, Vancouver
Hazy light amber color with compact head. Nice aroma, bready malts and citrusy hops. Light body, dry mouthfeel; the malt has a mild cereal and caramel character; strong bitterness with plenty of hop resins, some citrusy oils, not fruity. More caramel malt in the final. Powerful but balanced.
Good beer for a sunny afternoon in front of the BBQ.
